My new Davitamon-Lotto cycling gear arrived on Tuesday and I took it out for its first run on Wednesday night at the velodrome. Having a complete matching set of cycling clothes is something I have never had before and it enhanced my already ravishing good looks to a new crescendo. Before you ask, no, there are no photos. I don’t want to spoil the mental image some of you have just conjured up and I’m sure that a photo would puncture many dreams, not to mention my ego.
Just as an example of how impressive I am to watch on a bike: a week ago when I went to the velodrome for the first time in over 15 years, there were only 14 people there including one female cyclist who was comfortably over 40 and without being overly judgemental, this lady really needed the exercise.
This week however, word had gotten around and there were 23 in attendance including 5 females under 25 who were constantly around me while I was riding. I know, I know. And I won’t hear a word from anyone who tries to start rumours that the girls were around me because all the guys had sped off and I couldn’t keep up with anyone except the girls. Not a single word, I say.
